“Love Letter from Pig”

Julie Kabat’s beloved brother Luke arrived as a volunteer for the Mississippi Sumer Project after three civil rights workers had disappeared. Sadly, he died just two years after his work there, leaving behind letters, diaries and essays, as well as a lasting impact on his younger sister, nicknamed “Pig.” Our speaker, author Julie Kabat, will talk about Lu ke’s motivation for joining the civil rights movement.
